Bhagsu Nag is a very holy Hindu temple situated 2 kms away from Mcleodganj. It is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Bhagsu Nag which is also known as the snake god. This temple is also dedicated to Lord Shiva. You will find a fresh water spring in the temple where all the pilgrims take holy dips to purify themselves. Near the temple, you will also find a waterfall known as the Bhagsu waterfall which is visited by all the pilgrims. It is just a 20 minutes walk from the temple. The temple of Bhagsu Nag is located in the Bhagsu village. 
 
The area of Bhagsu and Dharamkot are inhibited mainly by the Gaddi tribe which is a shepherd tribe. The town of Bhagsu is situated at a distance of 12 kms from Dharamshala, a very prominent tourist destination. The Bhagsu waterfall is a wonderful place to visit for every tourist. This waterfall is exactly located at Bhagsu which you known is 2 km from McLeodganj. It can be found just behind the Bhagsunag Temple. During Monsoon, this fall gets converted into a 30 feet cascade alongside a mountain and looks like an art piece made out of slate. This type of view provided by this waterfall is because of the rich deposits of slate in the surroundings. Tourists can enjoy swimming and the water is cold which is most favourable during summer season. The best time to visit this place is around October. You will find warm sunny days and will enjoy pleasant nights during this time of the year. The nearest airport to this Nag is the Gaggal airport which is 12 kms away from the temple.
