Traditionally known as Nagarkot, Kangra is the most densely populated districts of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated on the southern periphery of the Dhauladhar range roofed with lush green vegetation, pine trees, tea gardens and orchards. Dharamshala being the headquarters of Kangra is a mere 18 kilometers from the Kangra town and is no less panoramic in its stateliness. The land of Dalai Lama is very famous for ancient temples like the Masrur Rock cut temple, Kangra temple, Chamunda temple and monasteries. The fun filled itinerary of this tour is complete package of delight in itself that will take you around all the three places namely, Chandigarh, Dharamshala followed by Kangra and then back to Chandigarh.
After you arrive at the Pathankot railway station, your car will pick you up and take you to Dharamshala. After a hassle-free check-in at the hotel, the rest of the evening can be spent at leisure followed by a night stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, allow yourself a short sightseeing trip to Dharamshala. Visit the Tibetan Medical Centre that treats its patients with rare Tibetan medicines. See the Church of St. John which has beautiful Belgian stained-glass windows that date back to the 19th century. You may also opt to engage yourselves in meditation classes or visit a local monastery. Later, you can enjoy the evening at your leisure and an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, you can make the most of the day by sightseeing around Dharamsala, Kangra, Masrur rock cut temple, Kangra fort, Kangra temple and then the Chamunda temple followed by the Norbulingka Institute. After that, return back to Dharamshala and enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will be driven back to Pathankot for your journey to home.
